In collaboration with Dwayne Mentgen and Jack Rooney, Kevin Champlin helped create a .Net programming class for students at the Area Career Center in La Salle. The course, which began in January with 14 students, introduces high schoolers to in-demand programming skills. The initiative aims to prepare students for higher-paying tech jobs, addressing the local need for IT professionals in Starved Rock Country. The program is already showing promise, with high enrollment and plans for formal certifications.
